Red and Yellow Plum Flatbread with Burrata, Basil, Arugula, and Balsamic Glaze
Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough or flatbread crust
- 2 red plums, thinly sliced
- 2 yellow plums, thinly sliced
- 8 oz burrata cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cups arugula
- 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C
Roll out the pizza dough or flatbread crust on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness
Brush the crust with olive oil and season with salt and pepper
Arrange the sliced red and yellow plums evenly over the crust
Place the flatbread in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the plums are slightly caramelized
While the flatbread is baking, tear the burrata cheese into smaller pieces
Once the flatbread is done, remove it from the oven and immediately top it with the torn burrata cheese so it starts to melt from the heat
Sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the flatbread
In a small saucepan, warm the balsamic glaze over low heat until it becomes slightly thinner
Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the flatbread
Finish by scattering arugula over the top for a fresh and peppery contrast
Slice, serve, and enjoy your Red and Yellow Plum Flatbread with Burrata, Basil, Arugula, and Balsamic Glaze
