Colombian Chorizo Avocado Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Colombian chorizo, casing removed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup plantain chips
- 4 slices of cheese optional
- Lettuce, tomato, and onion for garnish optional
- Mayonnaise and ketchup for sauce optional
Instructions:
Put the ground beef and chorizo in a bowl and mix them together
Add pepper and salt
Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
Set your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat to get them hot
The burger patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Put a slice of cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking so it melts
Dot the hamburger buns with butter and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely browned
Put a patty on the bottom half of each bun to make the burgers
Add plantain chips, avocado slices, and any other toppings you like to each patty
If you want, you can put mayonnaise and ketchup on the top half of the buns
Place the top halves of the buns over the burgers and serve right away
Have fun with your Colombian Chorizo Avocado Burger
