Slow-roasted Garlic Greek Lamb Pizza

On top of a crispy homemade pizza crust, you can enjoy the rich flavors of slow-roasted lamb that has been infused with garlic and traditional Greek ingredients. This pizza with Mediterranean flavors is a great treat for lamb lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lamb shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh oregano leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 275F 135C

In a bowl, combine the sliced lamb, olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper

Mix well to coat the lamb evenly

Place the seasoned lamb in a roasting pan and slow-roast it in the preheated oven for 2-2

5 hours until its tender and slightly crispy

Remove the slow-roasted lamb from the oven and set it aside

Preheat your pizza oven or regular oven to 475F 245C

If using a pizza stone, make sure its preheated as well

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness

Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a border for the crust

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce

Add the slow-roasted lamb on top of the cheese

Scatter crumbled feta cheese, Kalamata olives, sliced red onion, and halved cherry tomatoes over the pizza

Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or pizza stone and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly

Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh oregano leaves, and let it cool for a minute before slicing
